The Stress is Mounting - Three Weeks Out

Planning seems impossible. All flights are booked. Praxis Exam in Beijing is scheduled and confirmed. Hotel for first three days in Beijing are booked (thanks to the help of some friends). Even though the big things are being crossed off the list of To-Dos, it seems like I am never going to be ready for this trip. The thing I am most nervous about now is getting directions from the Airport to the hotel, the hotel to the Praxis site, and the Praxis site to amazing tourist sites around the Haidian area of Beijing.

The itinerary thus far is:
  • Arrive at Beijing International Airport at 3:40 on March 19
  • Scurry to the Beijing Yanshan Hotel to check-in and drop off my luggage
  • Find some local fare and do some last minute studying for the third leg of the Praxis
  • Wake up bright and early and frantically go to the Beijing Foreign Studies University to take the Praxis
  • Walk back to the hotel to pick up some wandering items
  • Go to the Summer Palace and Old Summer Palace
  • ...
  • ...
  • ...
  • Depart Beijing International Airport at 7:30 and land in Xi'an at 9:25

There are so many things to do!!!

I worry the most about forgetting something that is extremely important that I am going to need to teach or live. On top of all of that, I need to get my UK/MIC graduation and Master's Exam stuff figured out.

There are so many wonderful people helping me through this and I could never do it without them, but it still seems like I'll never make it. Until next time...

  1. Hi Kevin! You are doing a great job here in China. Ben and I are very glad to be in the same crew with you. If your family/friends want to see some more pics of you, have them check out signsofkelly.blogspot.com. Since I don't have all the work you guys have to do, I have more time to upload photos. :)
